Common FAQs

What is the rental fee and what does it include?

What is the building size and capacity?

  • The Amazing Graze Barn is approximately 7,500 square feet with an upstairs chapel and downstairs reception area. We can comfortably seat up to 150 guests inside with room for a dance floor. Our maximum capacity is 200 by utilizing the covered patio for additional seating. Check out some of our most common floor plans.

Can you accommodate events other than weddings? 

  • Yes! We have flexible space that can be great for a variety of events including rehearsal dinners, anniversary/engagement parties, corporate events/retreats, and team building. Email us at grazeevents@gmail.com for pricing, availability and more information.

Is there a deposit?  When are the additional payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?

  • A Date Reservation Payment of $2500 is due after signing the contract. 9 months before your wedding an additional 50% is due. The final payment is due 60 days before your wedding. You are free to make additional payments at your convenience within the required due dates. This gives you greater flexibility in your payment options.

How do I reserve a date?

  • Dates are reserved on a first requested basis only after receiving a tour. Whomever has requested to start the contract process for a specific date will be first in line. A signed contract and Date Reservation Payment is required to book a date.

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

  • Tours are by appointment only please.

Will there be another wedding the same day?

  • No. You will have exclusive use of the Amazing Graze Barn, ceremony area, and barn areas during your contracted time.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

  • Yes! We offer our FarmStay as an add-on option. Learn more HERE. The nearest overnight hotel accommodations are a quick 10 minute drive away. Many more hotel accommodations are available 30 minutes away in the Raleigh area.

Do you provided table linens, cups, silverware, etc? 

  • White linens are included in your rental fee. We have china, glassware and flatware as an add-on option for an additional fee.

What happens in case of rain?

  • The Amazing Graze Barn can host both your ceremony and reception indoors. There is no need to worry about weather on your big day!

We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our ceremony at The Amazing Graze Barn.  Does your fee change?

  • No, because we reserve the date exclusively for you, our fee is the same even if you decide to have your ceremony or reception elsewhere.

What form of payment does The Amazing Graze Barn accept?

  • Our preferred form of payment is cashier check. We also accept bank transfer, money order, personal check and cash.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

  • You will have access to the venue from Decorating and clean up time is included in your total rental time.

Catering Questions

What are our catering options at the Amazing Graze Barn?

  • Currently, you are able to choose any licensed and insured full-service caterer for your special day. However, we encourage you to do your due diligence and research them properly. We have a Recommended Vendors List available for our booked couples that is a good starting point.

Planning Questions

How will the tables, chairs, etc. be arranged for my sized event?

If we choose the one day option, will we be able to access the location early to rehearse our ceremony?  

  • If you elect the one day rental, our venue will likely be reserved by another couple the night before. For that reason, one day rentals should plan for a rehearsal the week of their wedding on an available day. You are also welcome to bring anyone who would feel more comfortable understanding the venue (such as your DJ or minister, or any little ones in the wedding party) to one of our monthly Open Houses.

Can we have fireworks on the property? 

  • Fireworks are prohibited. Sparklers are permitted in designated areas only with restrictions. Candles are permitted as long as the flame is completely enclosed in a container. LED candles are recommended for use with our decor items and available in our inventory.

Can vehicles be left overnight? 

  • All property must be removed at the end of the event. We are not responsible for any items left in the venue overnight.

What time does the music need to end? 

  • The music needs to end at by 10PM on Friday/Saturday and 9PM Monday-Thursday to allow sufficient time for you guests and vendors to pack up and leave the venue.

We are using a rental company.  Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period?  

  • Unfortunately, no. We are a working farm and keep our gates locked. Access to the property is by appointment only and during your contracted venue access times.

How far in advance do you need our final headcount? 

  • Please submit final headcount 2-3 weeks in advance.

Setup and Day-of Event Questions

Are outside snacks and trays permitted?

  • Outside food and drink is permitted prior to the ceremony. It is not allowed after the start of the event. Please no drinks in glass bottles. 

What is the event clean-up process?

  • We keep the clean-up process really simple at Amazing Graze Barn. You are only responsible for what is yours. That includes any decor items, personal belongings and gifts. Amazing Graze Barn staff will handle all standard clean up following the wedding reception. Catering is responsible for food related cleanup including bussing tables, taking our trash and sweeping the buffet area.

Can we take photos around the farm on our wedding day?

  • Sure!  Just ask us and we would be happy to make recommendations. Also check out our Photo Map for great locations around the farm for photos.

Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or lanterns from the beams?

  • We request that holes are not placed in the walls.  We will have areas where hooks are already placed that you are welcome to use for any additional decorations.
