Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall - we’re here for them all! Our team loves weddings (it’s in our DNA). But there is just something about a Spring wedding that has us gawking every time. Maybe it’s the freshness in the air, the season of life and newness, or a renewed feeling of gratitude from the Easter Season. No matter the reason, a Spring wedding is an excellent time to marry in North Carolina.

These tips are for the future bride who has her sights set on a picture-perfect Spring Wedding. Read on to guide yourself into planning a fresh and flawless Spring wedding here at our venue.

Select a Seasonal Friendly Venue

With a Spring wedding vision at the forefront of your mind, you’ll need a venue to match. With 7 different possible wedding day spaces to choose from (both indoors and out) a bride with Spring on her mind will surely find her dream location on our property.

Not only will you find your ideal spot, but you’ll have plenty of backup options to fantasize about too… you know? - because of the whole “April showers” thing.

Start with Color

We first recommend choosing a color pallet to model your day after. One of our favorite (and free) hacks to help you make your choice, is to use Coolors. Coolors is an online software that generates colors and complimentary color pallets for your use. Find a pre-created pallet or make your own. Regardless, you’ll walk away with visual inspiration and hex codes to pass along to your stationary company.

Choosing Your Attire

The most dominant way to drive your color pallet home, choose bridesmaid dresses that fit your theme and help your bridal gown pop.

And don’t forget about the men! The men’s attire is actually the perfect place to add one of the complimentary (or darker) colors from your color pallet into your actual day.

Florals & Centerpieces

Another amazing way to utilize your color pallet is through florals and table decor. When choosing flowers, go for a flower that is in season and matches or compliments your main color choice.

Use the Weather to your Advantage

If the great out doors are your thing, use it to your advantage! Our venue is notoriously known for our authentic dairy barn (and we’re totally good with that). But the truth is there is SO MUCH MORE to our little corner of Heaven. If you love to fish, please do so on your wedding day. If you love our animals, pose for photos with them. Do not be afraid to use our property to highlight what best represents you on your big day.

Let them Eat Cake

When it comes to dessert, there’s never a wrong flavor. However, there are flavors that are generally considered to be more popular during the Spring. Seasonal fruits, lemon, and light flavors help subside your guest’s sweet tooth without bogging them down for the rest of the evening.
