All love stories are beautiful, but our favorites are told from our couples - those who were married at our venue - the Amazing Graze Barn! Anna and Nathan Hammond were a joy to assist as they went through their engagement and wedding day.
We asked our bride, Anna, a few questions to learn more about her and Nathan’s story and wedding day. When asked, these were Anna’s responses:
How Did You Meet?
Nathan and I met in August of 2018. He and his family moved from Alabama to North Carolina to pastor our church. At the time, I was in school at Liberty University in VA, but as we started talking I came home more on the weekends. It was not until a whole year later that we started dating and falling in love.
Please, Give All The Proposal Details!
This past year of 2021 was the year I was definitely anticipating a proposal to happen! I knew how far along we were in our relationship and where we wanted it to go. So the weekend of September 10-12th Nate came up to see me in Lynchburg to celebrate his birthday. All I knew was that we were celebrating him. Little did I know he was going to take me up to a mountain where he would propose to me at this beautiful overlook where he had it all decked out with candles and rose petals. My sister and her best friend were there to take pictures and video the whole thing! Once I was surprised and said yes, he took me to RA Bistro in Lynchburg where we had a nice romantic dinner together.
After that, I thought the night was over, but we headed back to my apartment to a room full of my best college friends who gave me the sweetest engagement party! That weekend was truly the most memorable and I will cherish it forever!
What Is 1 Thing You Were Most Looking Forward To About Your Wedding Day?
I was so excited for the First Look on our wedding day. We were very indecisive on including this in our wedding at first, but after much consideration, we both knew we had to! We were both quite nervous, but loved sharing those few moments alone together to let the joy of the wedding day sink in. I also think it was a beautiful moment as Nathan got to see me in my dress first and showered me with compliments!
Why Did You & Nathan Choose The Amazing Graze Barn?
We chose Amazing Graze Events because we both love the outdoors and have always wanted to get married either inside a barn or with a barn somewhere on the property where the wedding is held.
What Wedding Style Were You Trying to Achieve?
Nathan and I went for a Rustic Boho look for our wedding day.
What Else Can You Share About Your Love Story With Us?
We both have very large families who love us very much and have been a huge part of our Love story. We know that our relationship could not have grown to what it is today without them.
What Advice Do You Have For Future Amazing Graze Brides?
I think the most Amazing aspect of Amazing Graze barn is that allow you to use their décor items - which is a huge plus! It’s all included in the total price of your wedding day and if you chose to have a rehearsal night as well. Most venues do not provide this amenity so I highly recommend taking advantage of this perk!
I highly recommend this venue because it is run by a beautiful family who makes every contact with you very personal. The family is helpful and quick to respond to any questions you may have!
