It’s finally here! The day you have been waiting and planning like crazy for. You can hardly believe it’s actually your day. But before your carefully crafted wedding timeline begins, what do you do? Allow us to guide you through the first few hours of your wedding morning.
Don’t OverTHINK
You’ve made it this far - don’t start questioning yourself now! Every wedding decision you’ve made is perfect. Give your mind the grace and the freedom to rest, trusting that you’ve put in the prep work, you have hired trustworthy vendors, and your family/friends will be there for you no matter what.
Don’t Skip Your Daily Quiet Time
If you typically have quiet time with the Lord in the morning, don’t skip it today! Even if it’s a shortened devotion, prioritize spending just a few moments with Him, asking for peace and love today.
Even if your morning does not typically include a quiet time, we encourage you to pray over your day, the people in attendance, your groom, and your marriage.

Take a Relaxing Shower/Bath
Enjoy a relaxing shower, bath, or other morning ritual to refresh yourself. Make the routine extra pleasant by dimming the lights, lighting a candle, and playing soft music.
Eat Breakfast & Enjoy Your Coffee
A happy wedding morning includes taking care of yourself. If you’re a coffee or tea drinker, sit and enjoy it. Also, eat a light breakfast as you have a big day ahead. Consider having healthy snacks around the rest of the day, too, depending on what time your wedding meal will be.
Wear Something Comfy
Probably, some part of your wedding day outfit isn’t all that comfortable - maybe your dress, shoes, or hairstyle of choice wasn’t designed for comfort. That’s totally okay! But, when you can control your level of comfort, we advice that you do. Plan to wear a loose garment that you can relax in.
Be Present
One of the most important tips we can give brides for the morning of their wedding is to be fully present. Put away your phone, look your bridesmaids in their eyes, and soak up everything that is happening around you. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will go by so quickly, and we don’t want you to miss it!
